Friday fic rec free for all

This replaces the themed Friday recs. Basically I'll rec a fic here, and then anybody who wants to can rec a few fics in the comments below. Being as we're running every Friday there will be plenty of opportunities to rec as many stories as you like.


My rec this week is Whiskey by notevery

Authors summary: Jack and Ianto take a little roadtrip in search of a reported alien object. The coffee isn't very good, but the whiskey is.

This is a Jack/Ianto first time fic. Set before the start of the first series, Lisa is still alive and hidden in the lower levels of Torchwood, so if stories with Jack and Ianto sleeping together pre-cyberwoman isn't your thing it's probably best to give it a miss.

It's really not a romance story despite being a first time fic, there is definitely affection, but mostly it's the story of two lonely people with secrets they can't share, finding a little bit of comfort with each other.
