He became ill early in his career and died of leukemia September 20, 1984. As I was listening to his music over the weekend, "Would You Like to Learn to Dance" made me think of Jack and Ianto.  If you are not familiar with this song, take a moment to listen to it before you read the story. ..I think you'll see what I mean. The complete lyrics are at the end of the story.
