Torchwood Series One and Two re-watch poll.

There are plans to run a series one and two re-watch jointly here and at Torchwood Writer Union (TWU). http://z9.invisionfree.com/twu/index.php?act=idx

There would be a 'live' reaction post for the re-watch, a discussion thread that can be join in at any time, a rec post for fics relating to the re-watched episode and a prompt post for fic relating to the episode.

You can take part in as much or as little of this as you want.

I think the rewatch should start before S4 finishes; whether or not people are watching the new series, most of us are following along with the episode synopses and the reactions posts, so we at least know something of what's happening there.

Learning from the horrible thing(s) they did in CoE, I would like to already be in the middle of doing something enjoyable, if and when TPTB spring something even more horrible on us in the finale of S4.

Looks like most people want soon as possible too, with Saturday being the prefered day.

It's going to much of a rush to get it running this Saturday as the poll really needs at least one full day of being open. Once the day/time/frequency is decided it really needs to be posted out a few of the comms, as there are probably quite a few people who are only on the main torch_wood, especially aspeople who are new to the fandom, and who won't have heard about it because they don't know about this comm, but who might want to join in.

So at the moment, unless there's lots of other votes for different day/time etc, it's looking like it'll be next Saturday, 3rd September.

I agree with jo02, no need to wait for miracle doo-doo to finish airing. It's not classic TW anyway!

I know it's not classic Torchwood (so the re-watch will only be s1 and s2) and my own preference is for a soon as possible start, but I thought I should give people some options as when to start it, as they might not feel they've enough time to watch both MD and re-watch the classic series at the same time. And making people choose, well they're probably not going to pick something they've already watched.

I didn't vote on day of week - this will vary for me - but if the re-watch was on a Saturday, say, and the thread for comments available to comment on from that date onwards I think more people could add thoughts ...

my issue is that my other half is so sick of Torchwood now that I don't think she'll go for a re-watch, so I'll watch it on my lap top as and when I can! I need to do so if I'm going to be able to keep writing fic ... I miss my Torchwood team ...

as for when - by waiting for Miracle Whip to finish is virtually giving it the power to dictate when we reclaim TW - I so bollocks to it, let's get going now ...

Just wanted to point out that Doctor Who is starting up again tomorrow, and running on Saturday on BBCA. Don't know about anyone else, but this is a potential conflict if we do the rewatch on Saturday. Depends on the time I guess.

It's running on Saturday at 6 ish on the BBC so a rewatch wouldn't clash time wise in the UK.

Time is going to be 9pm UK time, as this would put it at early afternoon US and about 9am Sunday in Australia + New Zealand.

if that is the time, then i'd like to change my vote for sunday instead of saturday! not that it at the moment really makes any difference, since saturday&friday have gotten the most votes .)
